Adding an EV powertrain to an old technology platform isn’t the answer to the issues fleet operators must address. It’s a partial solution. At FOUR|8 Commercial, we’ve developed the whole vehicle solution. Our delivery vans are manufactured using disruptive, innovative lightweight technology. Not only will this save fleet operators significant resources; it will also save the planet from harmful manufacturing and operating emissions and waste.

EV VERSION

The EV (electric) version of our lightweight van has a flatter nose section because the electric powertrain components require less space, and the batteries are stored along the floor area.

ALT VERSION

The extended front nose of the ALT (alternative) version of our lightweight van accommodates larger, longer-range powertrains such as traditional fuel, hybrid, CNG or hydrogen.

Better for change: The modular, lightweight frame and composite structure used by FOUR|8 Commercial to build our vans makes it easy for us to shift production to accommodate short-, medium- or long-wheelbase vans as well as multiple powertrain options. Going modular means optimum flexibility for you and your fleet.

Better for range: Adding batteries to a vehicle adds weight. As a result, EV vehicles are heavier and less efficient. The only true solution is to consider the whole vehicle. FOUR|8 Commercial has. By reducing the weight of the entire vehicle, our vans will deliver better efficiencies no matter what the powertrain.

Better for all: Extend the lifecycle of your vans. The body panels on our vehicles are mechanically fixed to the vehicle frame rather than being welded on. This makes it simple for fleet owners to repair, refit, refurbish and refresh a FOUR|8 Commercial van without incurring the replacement costs associated with a total new vehicle purchase.

In keeping with our corporate Mission, at FOUR|8 Commercial, sustainability means more than just ‘tailpipe’ emissions. It means ensuring everything we do is responsible to the planet. We pursue this by considering the whole vehicle solution. For example we consider the extraction and processing of the raw materials required for all our vehicle’s components; the energy required to manufacture and operate our vehicles and the ability to refurbish a FOUR|8 Commercial van which not only reduces total cost of ownership for fleet operators, it also reduces the waste created at the vehicle’s ‘end of life’ disposal.

MODULAR INTERIOR

By applying the same modular design principle to the interior of our vans, fleet operators will save time and cost when other configurations are required, such as left or right hand drive, custom storage setups or even desk–style counter tops. Modules can even be removed to create additional space for a cart/dolly or odd-sized cartons.

FUTURE VARIANTS

Due to the flexibility of our modular design and production process, FOUR|8 Commercial can use the same platform to build a variety of vehicles including beverage delivery vans, shuttle and mini-buses, pick-up and drop side trucks, food service vans, small retail vans and vehicles for special events.
